Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage cash handling procedures accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest needs effectively. Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth service flow. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service to educate guests and elevate their experience. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables efficiently. Effective time management skills to handle busy service periods smoothly without sacrificing quality. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards within the food industry. Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous for understanding menu components and dietary considerations. Beverage expertise including cocktail creation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques.
