Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Hybrid Server / Food Prep Team Member, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service and customer experiences. This energetic position combines front-of-house customer interactions with behind-the-scenes food preparation, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable visit for every guest. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, managing customer orders using POS systems, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your enthusiasm, efficiency, and attention to detail will help create a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while engaging with diverse customers in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare food items efficiently and accurately according to established recipes and safety standards Operate POS systems SQUARE to process retail sales transactions, handle cash register operations, and manage customer orders Provide friendly, attentive service by taking customer orders, upselling menu items, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment Assist with food handling duties such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation tasks Manage cash handling procedures accurately while processing transactions and balancing registers at shift end Food Preparation Prepare charcuterie boards, flatbreads, and other menu items according to company standards. Portion and prepare ingredients for daily service. Follow recipes and presentation guidelines consistently. Monitor food quality and freshness. Label, rotate, and properly store food following food safety standards. Assist with receiving and organizing inventory. Cleaning and Organization Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, dining room, bar, and restrooms. Wash dishes and sanitize work surfaces throughout each shift. Complete opening and closing cleaning checklists. Restock food, wine, retail merchandise, paper products, and service supplies. Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects as assigned. Team Support Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Transition between food preparation and guest service based on business needs. Assist with private events, wine tastings, and special promotions. Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory, guest concerns, and operational needs. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the business. Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems like SQUARE is advantageous Demonstrated ability in food preparation, food safety management, and sanitation practices Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Customer service experience with a focus on engaging positively with diverse guests Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding food experiences while honing your culinary and customer service skills.
