Description Job Overview The Oyster Bar Server will serve the bar and surrounding tables providing friendly and efficient food and beverage to all guests in the Oyster Bar. Duties And Responsibilities Report to the station as scheduled in proper uniform and ready to work Complete all side work as directed by the supervisor Greets guests in a friendly professional manner Takes orders from guests and Servers Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items as well as some beer and wine knowledge Inspects cleanliness and condition of assigned stations and associated public space and rectifies any deficiencies Continuously maintains cleanliness and organization of bars, bottle displays, coolers, and station equipment Other duties & responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from the start date as a condition of continued employment Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older One (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience- required OR six (6) months experience within the Beverage Department at WCH- required Willingness and ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of fifty (50) pounds Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training Must complete ServeSafe Sanitation training Minimum bartending skills Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position Base Pay Compensation $9.00-$13.00 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
