Description Job Overview The Specialty Server is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service of food and beverage items to all guests in the Steakhouse. Duties And Responsibilities Possesses full knowledge of fine dining cuisines, including French and Continental as well as table-side service Possesses knowledge of wine and wine pairings Report to work station as scheduled in proper uniform and ready to work Complete all side-work as directed by supervisor Keeps work area neat, clean and free of safety hazards Greets guests in a friendly professional manner Takes drink orders using suggestive-selling and up-selling techniques Serves drinks quickly and efficiently in the proper glass with the proper garnish Informs guests of daily specials, soup of the day, and makes menu suggestions Takes guest orders, repeat orders to guests Inputs order into micros and send order to kitchen Picks up order from kitchen and serve guests Checks back with guests with-in two minutes to ensure they are enjoying their meal and if they have any other needs Pre-buses table as needed and ensures water glasses are always full Offers dessert and coffee using suggestive selling techniques Presents check at the end of the meal and thanks guests for dining with us Adequately completes required forms and handle cash transactions accurately and in a timely manner Other duties & responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older Must have extensive knowledge of food products, wine, liquor, and service techniques with a minimum of two (2) years of full service restaurant experience

  • required Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to deal effectively with diverse departments and have flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and BASSET training•required Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training•required Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition Willing to work odd and irregular hours Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position Base Pay Compensation $9.
