POSITION SUMMARY
The Takeout Server has a passion for hospitality and a great attention to detail. The Takeout Server is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service to guests placing takeout orders. This role ensures orders are properly prepared, packaged, checked for accuracy, and presented to guests with the same level of care and hospitality they would receive when dining in the restaurant. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout the takeout experience. Answer questions about the menu, ingredients, modifications, and restaurant offerings. Accurately enter and process takeout orders, including phone, online, and in-person orders. Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time. Carefully check each order for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before handing it to the guest. Package food and beverages according to restaurant standards, ensuring items are properly labeled and secured for transport. Ensure guests receive all necessary condiments, utensils, napkins, sauces, and other requested items. Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house team members regarding special requests, allergies, modifications, and timing. Process payments and accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment. Manage multiple orders and competing priorities while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor. Keep the takeout area, counters, shelving, and surrounding service areas clean, organized, and stocked. Monitor order timing and communicate delays or issues to guests and managers. Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed. Follow all restaurant policies, health and safety standards, and food handling procedures. Contribute to a positive team environment and consistently represent the restaurant professionally.
