Job Overview Black Box Entertainment & Hospitality is seeking professional, sophisticated, and dependable event servers to join our elite 1099 contractor roster. We provide luxury, full-service experiences for weddings, high-profile corporate affairs, and private soirées. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity ideal for hospitality professionals who want to supplement their income while delivering extraordinary service in a high-end environment.
Responsibilities Exemplary Service:
Greet guests with sophistication and ensure a seamless hospitality experience.
Execution:
Professionally serve food and beverages in accordance with event-specific floor plans and timelines.
Atmosphere Management:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces to ensure a flawless visual presentation.
Professionalism:
Maintain a polished, editorial-style appearance and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
Compliance:
Adhere to all local health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Proven track record in high-end hospitality or fine dining.
Certifications:
Must possess a valid Illinois BASSET certification and/or a Food Handler certificate (ANSI-accredited).
Agility:
Ability to remain composed and efficient in fast-paced, luxury settings.
Flexibility:
This is an on-call, per-project position. Contractors have the freedom to accept or decline event invites based on their availability.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs. Tools of the

Contractors are expected to provide their own standard professional server attire (details provided upon engagement).
Contractor Details Classification:
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
Taxes:
As a contractor, you are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. No taxes will be withheld by Black Box Entertainment & Hospitality.
Payment:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
