Busser/Food Runner

Job Overview We are looking for an energetic and friendly Busser/Food Runner to join our lively restaurant team. This role is all about supporting the front-of-house staff by ensuring tables are cleared and reset efficiently, delivering food promptly from the kitchen to guests, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Duties Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to keep the dining area tidy and inviting. Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests accurately and promptly, ensuring proper presentation. Assist servers with food running duties during busy service times to enhance guest satisfaction. Support the team by bussing dishes, refilling water glasses, and attending to guest needs as required. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including wiping down tables and organizing service stations. Follow food safety standards during handling and serving of dishes. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and basic food preparation is a plus. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong communication skills to coordinate smoothly with team members and guests. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Hospitality or hotel experience, including banquet or culinary backgrounds, is beneficial. A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn about food safety and customer service best practices.
