Position Overview:

Server/Dishwasher - Assisted Living & Memory Care We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Server/Dishwasher to join our dining services team in our assisted living and memory care community. This dual-role position supports both meal service and kitchen operations, playing a vital part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our residents. Ideal candidates are team players who take pride in cleanliness, customer service, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for older adults.

Primary Responsibilities:

Dishwashing Duties:

Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen tools. Maintain cleanliness of the dish room, kitchen, and food prep areas according to sanitation and safety standards. Follow infection control and food safety guidelines in compliance with state regulations.

Server Duties:

Assist with setting up the dining room for meals, including table settings and service stations. Serve meals to residents in a courteous and respectful manner, with attention to individual preferences and dietary needs. Clear dishes from tables, bus carts, and assist with resetting tables between meals. Communicate any resident concerns or requests to the culinary or care staff as appropriate.

Additional Duties:

Assist with food prep or portioning tasks under the direction of the cook or dietary manager. Support special events, holiday meals, or catering setups within the community. Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure smooth and timely meal service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare dining preferred. Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and basic food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to support residents and coworkers. Reliable attendance and a flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
