In this dynamic role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that service flows smoothly and guests feel welcomed and cared for. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a lively, efficient environment where guest satisfaction is always the top priority. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations. Duties Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining a clean and inviting dining space. Assist servers by delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests efficiently and accurately. Support the cleaning of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables. Handle food safely during transport, ensuring proper food handling practices are followed at all times. Buss tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils with care, adhering to safe manual handling techniques. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate service needs. Maintain a positive attitude while providing in-person customer service that enhances guest experiences. Skills Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and interact professionally with guests. Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of trays or supplies safely. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders or payments when needed. Basic culinary or kitchen experience can be advantageous for understanding food presentation and handling. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail in maintaining a tidy dining area.
