Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations on food and drinks, including wine and spirits knowledge. Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as 4 Shifts ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktail service, beverage pairing, and drink presentation, while maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to sanitation regulations. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Requirements Previous food service experience in restaurants or food industry settings is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a lively restaurant or nightclub environment.
