Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable. Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation. Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options to elevate the guest experience. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly. Assist with host/hostess duties when needed, managing reservations and guest relations seamlessly. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally. Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods effectively. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations ensures compliance at all times. Qualifications Illinois BASSET License / Certification Required.
