  • Welcome every person who walks through our door
  • Show authentic attentiveness to every person you serve
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of The Tilma Café menu and offerings
  • Take food and drink orders while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor, accurately enter orders into point-of-sale system, keeping in mind any food allergies
  • Work together with cooks and baristas for prompt, accurate delivery of food and beverages while retaining high-standards of plating, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Continue to grow and develop one's skills through personal development, research, and training so to advance the hospitality experience for the customers and staff
  • Train your non-server teammates in your role so that they can proficiently step in when needed
  • Cross train in other Cafe roles and develop proficient skills in these roles so to be able to step in when needed
  • Collaborate with Café Manager to maintain facilities, tableware, equipment, etc. for smooth day-to-day operations - including assisting with clearing tables, rearranging tables to seat parties appropriately, cleaning at the end of a shift, etc.
  • Complete all side work with diligence, attention to detail, and timeliness
  • Report consistent success and failure points to Café Manager to improve resources and processes
  • Perform as a team to serve our guests in a culture of gratitude, accountability, and reliance on the Lord
  • Other duties as assigned by the Café Manager Qualifications Candidates have a passion for hospitality, quality, and respect-ultimately creating an exceptional experience for each person served at The Tilma Café.
This position requires servers to be on their feet for long periods of time and to consistently offer guests a joy-filled encounter. A good applicant can handle a fast-paced work environment and is prepared to execute tasks under stress with excellence and consistency.
Necessary skills and abilities include:
superior communication skills, technological proficiency, ability to manage several tasks at once, capability to problem-solve, selfless teamwork, and excellent hospitality. Prior experience as a server in the restaurant industry preferred but not required. Compensation Commensurate with experience. Server roles are primarily tip-based positions. One's increased mastery of the craft is typically rewarded with increased compensation.

$10.00 - $25.00 per hour
