Job Description
We are seeking a full time candidate for the day shift for this position. Wait Staff start out at a base pay of $13.75/hour. We offer 2nd shift differential pay of an additional $2.00/hour as well as weekend differential pay of an additional $1.00/hour. The candidate must be able to work every other weekend as well as every other holiday. Our dining rooms offer a restaurant-like feel where our residents as well as their friends and family can order from the menu and dine while enjoying a wonderfully cooked meal. The wait staff at Christian Care Retirement Community plays a crucial role in ensuring residents receive timely, nutritious meals in a pleasant dining environment. This position requires individuals who take pride in providing excellent customer service and have a positive, cheerful attitude. Wait staff employees are responsible for all aspects of meal service from start to finish. Prior to meals, they meticulously set dining tables with plates, utensils, napkins, condiments, and menus, creating an inviting atmosphere. When meals are ready, wait staff efficiently serve hot food items in the proper portions onto residents' plates. They patiently assist any residents who need help cutting food or require special dietary accommodations. Wait staff are also responsible for preparing and serving beverages like coffee, tea, water and juice. Throughout the meals, they continually check on residents to promptly fulfill any additional requests. Afterwards, wait staff begin cleaning tasks such as carrying dishes to the kitchen, scraping and stacking plates, loading dishwashers, washing any dishes by hand, and sanitizing counters. They carefully follow all sanitation procedures and properly record dishwasher temperatures. Wait staff also neatly reset tables, sweep floors, take out garbage, and deliver any soiled linens to the laundry facility. Overall, the wait staff at Christian Care Retirement Community are essential for providing residents with outstanding dining service and ensuring meals are a pleasant, fulfilling experience each day.
