Key Responsibilities (Server Role)Welcome guests with a warm, positive attitude and create an inviting dining experiencePresent menus, answerquestions, andexplain specials, beverages, and featured itemsTakeaccuratefood and drink orders,including notingdietary needs or special requestsProvide knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferencesDeliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and accuracyCheck in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfactionMaintain a clean, organized dining area andassistwith table clearingProcess payments, handle cash, and enter orders into the POS systemCommunicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth serviceUpsell menu items, promotions, and beverages to enhance the guest experienceAssistwith opening and closing duties, restocking, andmaintainingsuppliesQualificationsStrong communicationand interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable personalityAbility to multitask and stay organized in afastpacedrestaurant environmentBasic knowledge of food and beverage service; willingness to learn moreAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysExperience with POS systems is a plusServSafecertification preferred but notrequiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsLift and carry trays of food and beveragesBend, reach, and twist for cleaning and setup tasksMust be 19+ years oldMust have or be able to obtain an Indiana Liquor LicenseBenefitsStrongworklifebalanceDiscounts on meals and merchandiseOpportunities for career growth and advancement within Big Woods Restaurants
