Room Service Server (FT) - Sheraton Indianapolis Indiana Remington Hospitality - 3.2 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Employee relationship building Full Job Description What you will be doing Set up orders and deliver to rooms within approximately 20-30 minutes. Develop a complete knowledge of menus, dish and glassware service, and utilize that knowledge in the service of guests as needed. Follow proper tray set up for all orders, including silverware, napkins, appropriate condiments, beverages, any special requests, etc. Check complete food order to ensure all have been set on tray for delivery. Develop a complete knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine, complying with alcohol awareness procedures and complying with all applicable laws. Promptly return check and payment to cashier; call back to guest after 5-10 minutes to see if meal is satisfactory. Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times. What we are looking for Strong communication skills verbal and written High work ethic and self-initiative May be required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times Physical Requirements (In-Office Role) Ability to work in a standard office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day) Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items. Ability to lift and/or move 10â€"25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies). Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles). Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
