Job Description
Sandbox at Goddard is looking for energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Servers to join our team. Sandbox is more than a restaurant. We are a high-energy sports bar and entertainment venue where guests come to eat, drink, watch the game, compete, and celebrate. Our servers create memorable experiences by providing friendly, attentive service while working together in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate communicates well, stays organized under pressure, and understands that great hospitality is a team sport. Responsibilities Welcome guests promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Explain menu items, daily specials, promotions, and upcoming events. Accurately enter food and beverage orders using the POS system. Check identification and follow all alcohol-service policies. Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately. Monitor tables throughout the guest experience and anticipate guest needs. Process cash and electronic payments accurately. Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work. Maintain clean, organized tables, sections, server stations, and common areas. Run food and beverages for teammates as needed. Everyone runs food at Sandbox. Communicate clearly with bartenders, kitchen staff, support staff, and managers. Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and involve a manager when needed. Follow all food-safety, sanitation, uniform, and workplace policies. Help create an environment where guests can Connect. Compete. Celebrate. Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred, but not required. Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude. Strong communication and multitasking skills. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Ability to work efficiently during busy shifts. Willingness to help teammates outside of an assigned section. Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry trays, plates, and beverages.
