  • at least 1 year of high-volume serving experience is required, but 2+ years of high-volume and/or fine-dining is preferred // Professionalism

  • your primary responsibility is to curate a guest experience that exceeds expectations, beginning with a warm introduction and following with standard Merchants Steps of Service. Guests should feel welcome and well taken-care of. // Menu Knowledge
  • you must know all food and beverage offerings including portion sizes, price, components, presentation, dietary flexibilities and sourcing.
Menu tests will be administered occasionally and you must receive a passing grade to maintain your shifts on the schedule. If retakes are necessary, you will be off the schedule until a passing grade is achieved. Managing your

moving constantly, developing a rotation amongst the tables in your section so that everyone gets evenly paced, great service, and courses come out to our guests in a timely manner. Maintaining your
Section:
it is a team effort among the servers, server assistants, and hosts to ensure that all dining areas are being bussed and tables flipped, but ultimately it is the server's responsibility to maintain their section, accommodating guests' needs as they arise, and keeping tables tidy for guest comfort and so they are ready for the next step of service.
