Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options Take accurate orders using Toast, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and beverage stations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and food safety protocols to provide expert recommendations to guests Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, personalized interactions, and a welcoming attitude Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Strong knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities Culinary experience or food industry background is beneficial for understanding food preparation and presentation standards Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively restaurant atmosphere Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to engage guests positively and promote upselling opportunities Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for hospitality shines!
