The ideal candidate will have a good head on their shoulders, common sense and operate quickly and purposefully as they serve customers and maintain all front of house stations. This person will learn quickly, have a keen eye for detail, thrive as part of a high functioning team, and understand the value of incredible service. They will be an ambassador for our small business, representing our dishes and recreating our sandwiches with intention, passion, and commitment to top quality-both in food and hospitality. The counter server will be able to quickly absorb information about ingredients, serving sizes, and recommended reheating instructions, and communicate it to our customers with confidence and credibility. There are moments in this position of down time, where this person will be expected to balance side tasks with customer interaction and engagement. There are also intense moments, where you will be expected to work effectively to manage many customer and team needs. Multi-tasking, the ability to think and work quickly, a strong work ethic and poise under pressure are requirements. You will wear many hats in this role: you'll help wrap and package dishes, you'll make sandwiches, do dishes, consult on and accurately take catering orders, and help customers select meals for themselves and their friends and family. Duties Serve customers across their entire journey, from the case, sandwich counter, grab and go, and bakery

CASE:

take customer orders, explain dishes, weigh out food, advise on portions, ingredients and reheating instructions

SANDWICH DELI

Take orders, make and wrap sandwiches, maintain deli stock (slicing meats, refilling sauces, prepping veggies and other sandwich toppings), maintain deli tidiness and cleanliness

BAKERY AND GRAB AND GO

take and package orders, advise on ingredients, and work with kitchen teams to ensure customer needs are met

CATERING

take in person and over the phone advance order, answer questions and advise on portions, options, and other menu details, accurately transcribe and store orders, package and organize orders on fulfillment day

SIDE TASKS

package and label soups, dips, salads, dressings, and other grab and go offerings, maintain case tidiness, clean and organize counters, fold boxes, wash FOH dishes, unpack and store packaging shipments, stock shelves, clean FOH space, and wipe down outdoor tables, in addition to specific opening and closing duties YOU Proven multi-tasker Charismatic and effective communicator Focused on the details Receptive to feedback Passionate about food Hard working and self driven Cool under pressure Kind US Small family owned and operated business, with a foundational love of food and hospitality and a belief in the power of hard work done well.
