Job Description
Company Overview The Vintage Tea & Cake Company is a premier catering service specializing in Afternoon Tea Party Catering for various special events. We also offer our Afternoon Tea at our 3 locations - Belmont, Lexington and Arlington. In addition to serving Afternoon Tea at our Arlington location we will also be starting our evening wine bar experience, which will include a small selection of wine and charcuterie/cheese/fish boards. Summary As a Server at The Vintage Tea & Cake Company, you will be an essential part of our team, providing exceptional service during our evening wine bar service. This role is vital in ensuring that our guests enjoy a memorable experience while helping to uphold our reputation for quality and hospitality. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to guests during our evening wine bar service. Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality offerings. Set up and clean up the dining area. Manage the Square POS system for payments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area throughout service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in all food handling activities. Support bussing duties as needed to maintain a smooth service flow. Qualifications Previous experience in a server or hospitality role preferred. Strong customer service skills with a passion for enhancing guest experiences. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square, is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
