Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Dietary Aide, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality nutritional care to residents in a skilled nursing home environment. This energetic position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to residents' well-being by preparing, serving, and maintaining safe and nutritious meals. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes health, comfort, and dignity for all residents. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation, ensuring all dishes meet safety and quality standards Serve meals to residents with friendly, attentive customer service, accommodating special dietary needs and preferences Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas through proper cleaning, sanitation, and food handling procedures Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning serving areas, and assisting with food storage and inventory management Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Help with meal setup, portioning, and presentation to enhance the dining experience for residents Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and efficient service throughout each shift Experience Previous experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or schools in the food industry is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, serving, and food handling within a healthcare or hospitality setting Knowledge of sanitation standards, kitchen safety practices, and proper food safety procedures Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents and team members Familiarity with culinary techniques, meal preparation processes, and food industry standards enhances your ability to succeed in this role This paid position offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly impact residents' daily lives.
