Job Description
Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment to help keep manufacturing operations running efficiently. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and alongside the Engineering Department, the ideal candidate will have strong electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting experience. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment. Assist with PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and modifications to support production equipment. Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs using RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and DirectSOFT32. Design, modify, and maintain HMI applications using RSView Machine Edition, RSView32, Winbuild 5000, and PanelBuilder32. Install, configure, and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo drive systems. Set up and maintain DeviceNet communication networks. Troubleshoot and support motion control systems. Build, wire, and modify electrical control panels. Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD. Maintain and troubleshoot Cognex Vision Systems used in production. Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components on existing equipment. Assist production mechanics with electrical, mechanical, and die change issues. Build, install, and commission new equipment as needed. Work closely with the Engineering Department and Maintenance Manager on equipment improvements and new machinery installations. Coordinate with outside contractors when required. Perform plant electrical repairs and preventative maintenance. Follow all company and plant safety policies and procedures. Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned. Leadership Responsibilities May provide direction to employees in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate degree in Electronics or a related technical field is a plus. Minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience with PLC and HMI troubleshooting preferred. Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, PanelView HMI controls, and related software. Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Winbuild, and PanelBuilder is preferred. Excellent mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift 35-50 pounds. Ability to stand and work on concrete floors for extended periods. Capable of performing the physical demands of a manufacturing maintenance environment. Work Environment Manufacturing facility with exposure to varying temperatures, including hot production areas, climate-controlled spaces, and outdoor weather conditions. May work in wet environments. Regular exposure to welding, fabrication, and paint booth areas. IND_orange
