Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic year round Server to join our family style team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining/ coastal setting. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards. We have Breakfast, Lunch and dinner shifts available Duties Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Assist with hosting duties when necessary, including seating guests Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Experience in the restaurant industry, particularly in roles such as serving or hosting in fine dining establishments or nightclubs. Knowledge of culinary practices is a plus, enhancing your ability to communicate effectively about menu items. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Previous experience with POS systems (Toast) is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed.
