Position Summary:
Responsible for washing silverware, dishes, cooking utensils/appliances and cleaning kitchen and dining area. Operates the dishwasher, sweeps and mops floors, maintains food storage areas and refrigerator/freezer in a clean and orderly manner. Returns clean dishes and utensils to proper storage area.Job Description:
Dish Area Responsibilities-Operates and maintains dishwasher- Responsible for daily chemical level testing and recording of water temperature
- Responsible for maintaining adequate level of dishwashing chemicals and equipment (i.e., mop head, broom)
- Removes trash from kitchen area to dumpster in a timely fashion and maintains trash area in a sanitary manner
- Maintains adequate inventory of clean dishes and utensils for meals
- Returns clean dishes and utensils to proper storage areas
- Assures that safety and sanitation regulations are followed at all times
- Maintains dishwashing area in a clean and orderly manner
- Assures all chinaware is stacked and handled properly and carefully to avoid breakage Kitchen Area Responsibilities-Assists in storing of food and food supplies as needed-Maintains food storage area in a clean and orderly manner-Assists in food preparation as needed-Responsible for mopping and sweeping of kitchen floors-Cleans worktables, refrigerators/freezers and sinks Prepares employee meal trays as needed
Education/Experience:
Requires the ability to maintain kitchen and dining areas, as well as all dishes, utensils and appliances in a clean and orderly manner. Knowledge of operating industrial size dishwasher and knowledge of sanitation standards is essential. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.Pay Range:
$15.00- $20.
