  • We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our team at The Provincetown Inn and provide excellent customer service in our dining establishment. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies). Take accurate food and drink orders using order slips, a point-of-sale system, or by memorization. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff promptly. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and accurate manner. Check in with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Prepare the dining area by setting up tables, utensils, napkins, and condiments. Process payments efficiently and return change or credit card slips, ensuring verification of orders with customers. Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls. Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a server, waitstaff, or in a similar role.
Basic math skills and a good understanding of operating a point-of-sale system. Excellent customer service skills and teamwork abilities. Strong attention to detail and understanding of hygiene and food safety rules. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or related field a plus.
