Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated retail salesperson who genuinely enjoys engaging with customers and closing sales. This is an active selling position , not primarily a cashier or customer-service role. The right person will comfortably approach visitors, ask questions, learn what interests them, explain the artwork, recommend sizes and framing options, respond to hesitation and confidently ask for the sale. Responsibilities Welcome and actively engage gallery visitors Learn about customers' interests, homes and available spaces Present artwork and explain available sizes and framing options Help customers make purchasing decisions without using high-pressure tactics Address common concerns, including price, shipping and the need to measure Process sales accurately through the point-of-sale system Required experience Proven experience successfully selling products in a retail store Comfortable initiating conversations with customers Able to describe specific examples of turning browsers into buyers Confident, dependable, professional and self-motivated Able to work independently and remain focused on customers Strong references from a previous retail employer
