Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
: The Food Runner is responsible for serving food orders as specified by guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
: Always presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests. Checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered (sides, extras, etc.). Delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments. Delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time. Communicates important information to guests (example: hot plate) and servers (example: guest seeking drink from bar). Responds to guests' requests for condiments or other items. Continually clears away dishes and debris from stations. Has knowledge of table numbers and the physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service for guests. Brings guests' inquiries regarding food allergies to the Manager's attention immediately. Ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards. High school diploma Prior experience preferred Open availability to work day and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays Must be pleasant, cooperative and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Exhibits and uses good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness. Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting. Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and supervisors. Restaurant Setting Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, push and pull. Must be able to frequently lift food, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds. Position involves repetitive hand and wrist motion.
