Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings. Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats following proper food safety standards. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change. Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and properly storing food items in accordance with sanitation guidelines. Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times. Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the shop environment. Operate kitchen equipment safely when preparing toppings or other food items as needed. Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Experience with food preparation, handling, and safety management within a retail or restaurant setting. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours. Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly, energetic approach. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks. Retail sales experience or grocery store experience is a plus but not required. Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment and maintaining sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.
