Join Meyer Jabara Hotels at the Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel in Columbia, MD and embark on a Journey with us! The Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel is a luxury hotel in Columbia MD near Lake Kittamaqundi. Tucked into seven wooded acres overlooking the calm lake, our 212-room hotel provides a relaxing setting in comfortable, spa-inspired guest rooms. Our elevated guest experience includes upgraded amenities, lakefront activities, a fitness center and a coffee bar. Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel is currently seeking a Food Runner/Busser to assist our guests in our high-end restaurant. The ideal candidate can create an engaging environment, providing courteous, responsive, guest-centered service. Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our principal belief that guest service is our highest priority. We have opportunities for energetic, service-oriented individuals who are experienced in providing efficient service and memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
Deliver food orders promptly and accurately to restaurant tables and guest rooms Serve as a communication link between the Front of House and Back of House teams Ensure proper setup and presentation of room service trays and dining tables Assist with table setting and ensure guests have all necessary dining items Communicate special requests, dietary needs, and allergies to the kitchen team Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and provide additional service as needed Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety and hotel standards Answer guest inquiries about menu items, hotel amenities, and services
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, room service, or as a Food Runner preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong multitasking and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with a guest-focused attitude Availability for evening, and weekend shifts
