We are thrilled to finally share that Fork & Spoon is bringing a new, vibrant Breakfast-Lunch-Brunch dining experience to Brighton. At Fork & Spoon we believe in giving great service, going the extra mile, treating our guests-community•and each other with respect, kindness, and dignity. Join our dynamic team as an Expo/Food Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests! In this vital role, you'll act as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house service, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a lively, efficient environment where guest satisfaction is the top priority. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, energetic setting.
Qualification:
Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to food safety and safe lifting practices. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes to ensure presentation standards are met. Manage heavy lifting responsibilities such as moving large trays, boxes of supplies, or equipment with proper manual handling techniques. Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Clear tables by bussing dishes promptly and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to promote a welcoming atmosphere. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and efficient billing when required. Support kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with food setup, restocking supplies, or other culinary tasks.
Experience:
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and serving protocols enhances your ability to excel in this role. Experience with banquet service or catering settings is a plus, demonstrating versatility in hospitality environments. Knowledge of kitchen operations or culinary experience can be beneficial for understanding food flow and timing. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with kitchen staff and providing excellent guest service. Prior use of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently is crucial for success in this energetic role.
Restaurant Hours:
Fork & Spoon will be open from 8•3 M-S, 7 days a week.
Expo hours:
