Job Description

The Forager is hiring experienced wait staff to become an integral part of our growing team. Our servers are expected to balance positive guest connections with professionalism and excellent verbal communications. Our servers operate extremely efficiently, providing team-based service with consistency across the board. Servers must be able to resolve conflict quickly and efficiently while working calmly under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. The server is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales performance objectives as determined, communicated, and monitored by management.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Have schedule flexibility. Learn the menu to explain offerings and make recommendations and suggestively upsell to our guests. Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude to ensure a positive, memorable visit and promote repeat visits. Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders into the POS system. Process guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling and credit card transactions. Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team. Helps customers select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions. Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling beverages, and being alert to customer's needs. Maintain and clean stocked service and dining areas. Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience. Able to accept constructive criticism on being coached and trained to exceed job expectations. Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays. Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
Physical requirements:
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time. Frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols.
