Restaurant Waitstaff:
Provide attentive full-service dining in our upscale yet casual Italian restaurant. Cocktail Server /
Court-Side Server:
Serve food and beverages to guests enjoying our bocce courts and entertainment areas. Banquet Server /
Event Server:
Help provide professional service for parties, corporate gatherings, celebrations, and other special events. Some employees may work in more than one service area depending on their experience, availability, and the restaurant's needs. Palazzo di Bocce offers a unique working environment that combines Italian dining, private and group events, cocktail service, and the sport of bocce. Our servers have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of guests and events rather than serving in a traditional dining room alone. Tip income has typically ranged from approximately $10 to $50 per hour, depending on business volume, assigned service area, shift, and individual performance. Tips are not guaranteed and will vary.
Responsibilities may include:
Welcome guests and create a friendly, enjoyable experience. Explain menu items, specials, beverages, and facility offerings. Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders. Serve meals and drinks promptly and professionally. Check on guests throughout their visit and respond to requests. Provide responsible alcoholic-beverage service. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service areas. Set, clear, clean, and reset dining tables, banquet areas, and court-side seating. Assist with event setup, service, and cleanup. Process guest payments accurately. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts, event staff, and managers. Work as part of a professional team during busy shifts and large events.
Qualified candidates should have:
A friendly personality and a genuine interest in providing excellent guest service. Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Good communication and teamwork skills. The ability to remain organized and professional in a busy environment. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food, beverages, and serving trays. Availability for daytime, evening, or weekend shifts. The ability to meet Michigan's age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Previous restaurant, banquet, cocktail, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred, but it is not required for the right candidate. We are willing to train responsible applicants who have the attitude, personality, and motivation to succeed. Palazzo di Bocce is closed on most major holidays.
