Responsibilities:

  • Operate a cash register with precision and accuracy, handling cash and credit transactions effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, responding promptly to guest inquiries, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations to guests.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage items are served in a timely and safe manner, adhering to all food safety and handling protocols.
  • Upsell menu items and suggest specials to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
  • Manage tables with varying sizes and special requests, ensuring that all guests receive personalized attention and exceptional service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that all food orders are accurate and fulfilled promptly.
  • Monitor tables regularly to ensure that guests are satisfied with their meals and to address any issues promptly.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions with precision and accuracy, making change as needed.
  • Provide guests with detailed explanations of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to enhance their dining experience.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, ensuring that all interactions with guests and colleagues are friendly and courteous.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on menu items, food safety protocols, and customer service techniques.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring that all duties are performed in compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with food safety and handling protocols, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service, with a focus on guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Proficiency in sales and upselling techniques, with the ability to suggest menu items and enhance the dining experience.
  • Knowledge of food service and culinary practices, with the ability to prepare and serve food and beverages safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
