You'll take orders, serve food and beverages with enthusiasm, and create memorable moments that keep guests coming back. Your culinary knowledge and food industry experience will help you provide expert recommendations and upsell menu items, elevating the overall dining atmosphere. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and recommending popular dishes to enhance guest satisfaction Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, preparation, and serving Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately and process payments swiftly at the cashier station Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally Experience Proven restaurant experience in a fast-paced or fine dining environment Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms Experience with food service operations such as serving, bussing, and food preparation Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry Previous host/hostess, server, bartender, or customer service roles demonstrating excellent guest relations skills Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining a positive attitude Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential
