Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or similar platforms. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times, ensuring smooth flow of guest service. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Maintain a clean and organized host station, including managing waiting lists and guest flow. Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall guest satisfaction. Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols in the host area and communicating any issues to management promptly. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS. Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening to understand guest needs effectively. Demonstrated ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette at all times. Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently in a busy setting. Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and POS transactions accurately. Familiarity with food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
