In this role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining high safety standards. Your enthusiasm for food industry practices and dedication to cleanliness will help ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, collaborate with kitchen staff, and contribute to nourishing our community with delicious, well-prepared meals. Duties Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools Prepare ingredients through slicing, chopping, cooking, and portioning according to recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety regulations Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and sanitation practices are followed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of orders Qualifications Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or a related food industry role is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department operations and menu planning is advantageous Strong skills and slicing techniques with a focus on safety and precision Familiarity with food safety management systems and adherence to safety standards in production environments Experience working in restaurants or catering settings demonstrating excellent food handling skills Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth workflow Join us in creating nutritious meals that delight our community!
