Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha or Micros POS systems. Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their meal. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation efforts. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures. Address guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring positive guest relations. Adhere to all food safety guidelines and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant roles, preferably in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha, Micros, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing checks accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices, food preparation techniques, and sanitation standards. Culinary experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Previous experience as a host/host or in guest services can be beneficial.
