Hilton Garden Inn - Kansas City Riverside Position starting April 2026 to assist with opening activities and preparation. Come be a part of Kansas City's newest Hilton hotel. A stunning property operated by Scarlett Hotel Group, a premier operator of Hilton hotels. Support the General Manager and Food & Beverage leadership in delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining Hilton brand standards, and creating a welcoming, high-quality dining experience from pre-opening through stabilized operations. This role is guest-facing and critical to delivering consistent, memorable service. The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience aligned with Hilton Garden Inn standards. Key Responsibilities Operations & Guest Experience Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter into POS system Deliver food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and maintained throughout service Assist with dishwashing during shift as needed Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service Handle guest concerns or service recovery with professionalism Pre-Opening Support Assist with dining room setup, organization, and cleanliness Participate in training on service standards, menu knowledge, and POS systems Support mock service and opening practice shifts Learn menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods Assist with stocking and preparing service stations Financial Awareness Accurately process guest checks and payments Follow cash handling and payment procedures Support upselling and suggestive selling to enhance guest experience Minimize waste and maintain proper use of supplies Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas Comply with alcohol service laws and responsible service practices Follow all OSHA and workplace safety guidelines Support Hilton brand and QA service standards Team Support Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members Communicate clearly to ensure smooth service flow Assist teammates during busy periods Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Work Experience Experience Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred Experience in restaurant, hotel, or customer service environment a plus Experience in fast-paced or high-volume settings preferred Pre-opening experience preferred but not required Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of food and beverage service Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Technical Competencies Experience with POS systems preferred Basic math and cash handling skills Ability to learn menu and service standards quickly Personal Attributes Friendly, outgoing, and service-focused Strong work ethic and reliability Professional appearance and demeanor Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits & Perks Competitive hourly wage + tips Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO), Flex Time Off (FTO), and paid holidays "Go Hilton" Team Member Travel Program (discounted hotel stays worldwide) Professional development and advancement opportunities within Scarlett Hotel Group Opportunity to be part of a high-visibility hotel opening Employee referral bonus program Pay rate $10.50/ hour, plus benefits, and tips.
