Hwy 61 Roadhouse is looking for energetic, dependable Servers who know how to take care of guests and aren't afraid of a busy restaurant. We're a Southern-inspired restaurant featuring Cajun & BBQ flavors, drinks, live music, and a fun Roadhouse atmosphere. We're looking for servers who understand that great service is more than taking an order and dropping off food. It's about creating an experience that makes guests want to come back. WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Server at Hwy 61 Roadhouse, you'll be responsible for: Greeting guests quickly and making them feel welcome Taking accurate food and beverage orders Knowing the menu and confidently answering questions Suggesting appetizers, drinks, entrées, specials, and desserts Entering orders accurately into the POS Checking orders before they reach the guest Running food—not just your own Keeping beverages refilled Checking back after food is delivered Pre-bussing throughout the meal Keeping tables and sections clean Processing checks and payments accurately Completing opening, running, and closing side work Helping teammates during busy periods Maintaining clean server stations and guest areas

WE WANT SERVERS WHO UNDERSTAND HOSPITALITY

Taking an order isn't enough.

We want you to:

Greet → Recommend → Serve → Check Back → Pre-Bus → Upsell → Thank → Invite Back Pay attention to your guests. Don't make them search for you when they need another drink. Don't let dirty dishes pile up. Don't drop the check and disappear. Treat every table like they're important—because they are.

TEAMWORK IS REQUIRED

At Hwy 61 Roadhouse, we don't want to hear: "That's not my table." If food is sitting in the window—run it. If another server needs help—help them. If you see an empty glass—let the server know or help when appropriate. If a table needs to be cleaned—help clean it. If something is dirty—clean it. We have individual sections, but we operate as one restaurant.

CLEANLINESS IS PART OF YOUR JOB

Cleaning is not something that only happens at the end of the night. We expect everyone to clean as they go. When business slows down, use the time to: Clean your section Restock Complete side work Clean server stations Help reset tables Help teammates Prepare for the next rush If there's time to stand around, there's usually something that can be cleaned, stocked, or organized.

LIVE MUSIC & BUSY WEEKENDS

Live music is an important part of Hwy 61 Roadhouse. That means some Friday and Saturday nights can be fast-paced, busy, and high-energy. You need to be comfortable working in that environment. Weekend and evening availability is highly valued.

EARNING POTENTIAL

This is a tipped position with the opportunity to earn strong tips based on your shifts, sales, and quality of service. We encourage servers to increase their earnings through great hospitality and smart upselling—not pressure. Know the menu. Recommend the appetizer. Suggest the cocktail. Offer another round.
