Overview A Food Server / Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, processing payments, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service Cash Handling Operate cash registers and POS systems Process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments Issue receipts and provide correct change Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions Food Service Serve food and beverages according to company standards Assist with food preparation or assembly when needed Ensure food items meet quality and safety standards Package takeout or delivery orders neatly and correctly Cleanliness & Safety Keep workstations, dining areas, and counters clean and organized Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations Restock supplies such as utensils, napkins, condiments, and cups Teamwork Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service Support team members during busy shifts Communicate clearly about customer needs or concerns Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service Skills & Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced environment Attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus (but not always required) Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

Pay:

$9.00 - $10.00 per hour
