Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including cocktail service, wine pouring, spirits handling, and beverage upselling. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs via POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, spirits, and specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales through upselling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly, assisting with food handling safety protocols, and ensuring a tidy dining area at all times. Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests or concerns professionally, and promote guest loyalty through excellent customer service. Qualifications Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests positively. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bussing is advantageous; open availability during evenings and weekends is preferred.
