Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance to ensure a smooth dining experience. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Manage guest needs throughout their visit by checking in regularly, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall comfort. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or cash registers, including processing payments and providing correct change. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices in line with health regulations. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly for new guests, and supporting host/host duties when needed. Support food preparation or kitchen tasks if required, demonstrating versatility within the food service environment. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes guest loyalty and positive reviews. Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking during busy service periods. Experience in upselling menu items or promoting specials to enhance guest satisfaction. Hospitality background including host/host or serving roles is highly desirable; nightclub or catering experience can be beneficial too.
