Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverage options with enthusiasm. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling duties with integrity. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly to maximize guest satisfaction. Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to keep the dining area organized and welcoming. Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied. Support team members in a fast-paced environment by managing time effectively during busy hours. Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Proven ability in beverage service including cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Culinary experience or food industry background is beneficial for understanding food preparation and presentation standards. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a lively restaurant atmosphere.
