Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including beverage service with spirits knowledge and cocktail experience. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales, leveraging your sales skills and product knowledge. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling safety protocols. Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor, guest relations expertise, and the ability to work well under pressure. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
