Duties Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen. Provide expert recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are maintained at all times. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or special events such as nightclub evenings or private parties. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience with a strong foundation in food service roles is preferred. Familiarity with POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Demonstrated culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to serve guests effectively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high-quality service. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and foster memorable experiences. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and order calculations.
