What You'll Do Craft the Experience Warmly greet guests, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage options with tailored recommendations. Take orders accurately, accommodate special dietary needs or allergies, and relay details clearly to the kitchen team. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining table side etiquette and pacing meals to the guest's preference. Perform proactive table maintenance, including refilling drinks, clearing plates, and checking in to ensure total satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment throughout the shift. Drive Revenue & Operations Enter orders into the POS system accurately, process payments, and manage cash transactions responsibly. Actively boost check averages by suggesting appetizers, specialty beverages, desserts, and menu add-ons. Assist with dining room setup, side work, roll-ups, and station restocking before and after service shifts. Complete daily shift sales reconciliation, manage cash floats, and turn in accurate shift paperwork. Promote hotel amenities, breakfast programs, and loyalty benefits during guest interactions. Maintain Quality & Compliance Strictly enforce state alcohol service laws by verifying guest age and serving responsibly. Follow all health department regulations, food safety protocols, and cleanliness standards. Keep service areas, side stations, condiment carts, and dining tables fully sanitized. Promptly address and report any guest concerns, broken equipment, or safety hazards to management. Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing restaurant checklists completely and consistently. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of serving experience, preferably in a hotel restaurant, high-volume dining, or customer service environment. Solid understanding of POS systems, basic math for processing bills, and accurate cash handling. General knowledge of food safety principles, tray-carrying techniques, and table layout standards. Basic understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail options to guide guest selections. TIPS and ServSafe certification preferred. Must meet state minimum age requirements for serving food and alcohol. Strong physical stamina, including the ability to stand/walk for extended shifts, balance heavy trays, and lift up to 30 lbs. Schedule Ability to work a schedule that includes mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
