Job Description
a Tavolo Italian Eatery, a new local restaurant coming to downtown Pittsboro, is now accepting applications for future restaurant staff positions. a Tavolo is from the same local, family-owned restaurant team behind The Sycamore, known for creating memorable dining experiences, serving quality food and cocktails, and building a strong team culture. While we are not actively hiring for all positions just yet, we welcome candidates to apply now. Applicants will not be contacted until at least August 1 as we get closer to our opening date. We are looking for friendly, dependable, and hospitality-minded team members who enjoy working with people and want to be part of a fun, energetic restaurant environment. At a Tavolo, we believe restaurant work should be professional, team-focused, and enjoyable. Positions May Include Servers Hosts / Hostesses Bartenders Server Assistants / Bussers Food Runners Line Cooks Prep Cooks Dishwashers Other front-of-house and back-of-house support roles What You'll Be Doing Front-of-House Roles Greet guests warmly and help create a welcoming first impression. Seat guests and assist with reservations, waitlists, and guest flow. Answer phones and respond to guest questions professionally. Take orders, serve food and beverages, and provide attentive guest service. Support servers by clearing plates, refilling waters, running food, and resetting tables. Assist with keeping dining areas, bar areas, patios, and service stations clean and organized. Work as a team to ensure guests have a smooth, enjoyable experience. Back-of-House Roles Assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and kitchen organization. Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen standards to ensure consistency. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Wash dishes, clean equipment, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. Support chefs, kitchen managers, and fellow team members during service. Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Skills and Qualifications Friendly, positive, and personable attitude. Strong communication skills with guests and team members. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment. Interest in food, hospitality, and creating a great guest experience. Restaurant experience is helpful but not required for all positions. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed. Bartending or alcohol service roles may require prior experience and applicable certifications. Hours and Pay Our anticipated hours of operation, available shifts, and pay ranges will be shared as we get closer to opening. Pay will be determined based on position, experience, and responsibilities. Hiring Timeline a Tavolo Italian Eatery will be opening in the next few months.
