Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Server and Expo at Salty Cow Riverside Tavern in ! As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the seamless operation of the restaurant. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while showcasing your culinary knowledge and sales skills. Both the server and expo position have the capability to produce very strong income (tip-driven) to the right individual. We are also closed on Tuesdays, so all staff are guaranteed a day off. Duties Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and deliver prompt service with a friendly attitude Utilize our POS system (onePOS) to process sales transactions efficiently and accurately Upsell menu items including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained during food handling, serving, and bussing activities Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service Assist with the quality control in our kitchen while serving as an expo, while collating orders to ensure prompt and correct service to customers Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments and giving correct change Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques to boost revenue Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and engage positively with guests Previous experience in a hospitality environment is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding journey with us where your enthusiasm meets exceptional service!
