Job Description
Position Overview The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during banquets and events, ensuring a seamless dining experience. This role supports both the service and operational aspects of events by delivering attentive service, assisting with setup and breakdown, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Key Responsibilities Serving Warmly greet and interact with guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Maintain guest tables by keeping them clean, checking on satisfaction, and refilling beverages as needed. Assist the Banquet Manager to ensure food and beverage stations remain stocked and organized. Serve meals in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring timeliness and attention to detail. Respond to guest requests promptly with a positive and accommodating attitude. Cleanup & Event Support Prepare and reset tables, ensuring condiments, flatware, and utensils are replenished. Assist with dishwashing, dining room, and kitchen cleanup as needed. Support special events by assisting in any capacity required to ensure outstanding guest service. Collaborate with banquet team members and assist with other activities, including safety and security support when needed. Complete teardown and cleanup activities safely and efficiently in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintain organization and cleanliness of banquet storage and supply areas. Report maintenance needs regarding banquet equipment, furniture, and facilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Frequent use of hands for handling glassware, serving trays, and supplies. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 lbs. Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching as required. Clear communication skills for effective guest and team interaction. Work Environment Fast-paced banquet and event environment. Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Collaboration with banquet, culinary, and event teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
