Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Food Runner/Expo, where your energy and attention to detail will elevate the guest experience! In this lively role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a seamless dining experience for every guest, making each visit memorable. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols Assist with food preparation and plating to ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving Clear and bus tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining space Ensure all food items are correctly labeled, garnished, and presented according to restaurant standards Support servers by delivering food promptly and accurately, enhancing overall guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of work stations, including cleaning utensils, trays, and service areas regularly Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service and address any special requests or issues Skills Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and transaction processing Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests in person Experience with bussing, cleaning, and maintaining a tidy dining environment Previous banquet or culinary experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent customer service skills Join us if you're passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences!
